Gemma and Sophie from the Hinckley shop have just had the amazing opportunity of going on board the brand new Royal Caribbean ship the Symphony of the Seas!

The ship is the biggest in the ocean and the facilities on board are incredible.

There are ice skating shows, aqua theatre shows and a theatre production of Hairspray the musical in the evenings as well as a casino, 20 restaurants (some free, some chargeable) and bars and even a Bionic Bar with robot arms that makes the drinks for you.
During the day there are lots of entertainment choices too. There are flow riders, waterslides, an aqua park for the children, Jacuzzis and swimming pools, a rock climbing wall, mini golf, a zip line a carousel and ice cream shop and a slide called The Abyss which goes down 10 stories!! The more you scream the brighter the lights go! There are also free consultations in the spa, lectures on various things and again the casino and all the restaurants.

Whilst on board we went to see various cabins including an interior cabin with virtual balcony, an ultimate family suite and a 4 bed villa.
For anyone who thinks they may feel claustrophobic in an inside cabin the ones with a virtual balcony are fab. They make the room feel bigger and it shows you the weather outside so you can figure out what to wear before leaving the cabin!
The ultimate family suite is 2 stories, has a lego wall, a slide from the children’s bedroom to the main area, a climbing wall for the children and a Jacuzzi on the balcony.
The 4 bed villa sleeps 14 people and is huge. There is a main living area and 4 bedrooms, 2 of them with pull down beds and extra sleeping in the lounge. On the balcony there is a bar, a big table with chairs and a Jacuzzi.

We ate in the main restaurant both evenings for our main meal but for little tasters we tried Sorrento’s for pizza, Hooked for a mini fish roll, Wonderland which is the Alice In Wonderland themed restaurant and a couple of the cafes for mini sandwiches. All of it was delicious!
