It all went seamlessly from start to finish .Singapore Business class top drawer and Virgin Australia excellent. All 9 flights on time and no issues.
Melbourne 1st stop lovely city. Hotel Inter continental nice and centrally located. Good breakfasts and very courteous staff.Visited Museum, Art centre . Went up the Sky deck etc. Did a full day trip down the Great Ocean Road to the 12 Apostles with stops in a rain forest and to see wild Kaolas. Did a wine tasting day to the Yarra valley. Great trips . Hotel Kept the majority of our luggage for us whilst we went to Tasmania.
The Henry Jones art hotel in Hobart was stunning, and our favourite of the whole trip. Would highly recommend it to anyone. The breakfasts were to die for and the food in the restaurant fabulous. Did a day trip to Bruny Island .Stunning scenery and fantastic 2 hour boat trip Could have done with an extra day there .
Adelaide. Mayfair hotel lovely and centrally located with lovely breakfasts. Great wine tasting trip to the Barossa valley and a day out to Hahndorf German village in the Adelaide Hills.
Gold Coast Surfers Paradise Vocco hotel.
Least favourite hotel as very big and corporate. Breakfasts very busy. However room okay and great location . Had a car for 3 days exploring the Tambourine mountains, Springbrooke both with loads of rain forests and walks etc. Third day went to Byron bay .
Had 2 days on the beach at Surfers tackling the huge waves. Great experience, maybe a day less .
Sydney. Great City. Park Royal Darling harbour hotel lovely and great location with lovely breakfasts. Did Blue Mountain day trip and the wildlife park. Fabulous day. Hop on hop off bus great day out.
3week cruise on Celebrity Edge suite class outstanding. Great itinerary.
Auckland. Pullman hotel great location and kept most of our luggage whilst went touring the North Islands for 7 nights.Day trip to Wahelke Island. Stunning.
Avis car rental really good.
Sovereign piers on the Waterways Whitianga .
Stunning location and views. Could have stayed there for a week. Wow wow wow.Some big supermarkets near by and really well stocked.Had BBQ on balcony both nights. Pullman Rotorua. Lovely hotel . Massive room. Loads of cafes and bars everywhere. Great trips to the Geo thermal parks.
Millennium hotel Taupo beautiful setting on the lake. Lovely meal at the hotel and breakfast fabulous.
3.5 hour drive next day to castaways Waiuku. Great drive . Lovely scenery. Stunning place overlooking the beach. Great meal and breakfast there.
Back to Auckland overnight before long trip back home.
Would recommend to anyone if they have the time and money. Driving in Australia and New Zealand was very easy and safe as extremely quiet roads. Loved every minute of the trip. Never fealt uneasy or threatened once during the whole 8 weeks away. Everyone went out there way to be helpful and courteous. A breath of fresh air.
