I was fortunate enough to visit Barcelona in March, which was kindly hosted by EasyJet Holidays who now have a new flight route from Birmingham to Barcelona.

I was fortunate enough to visit many hotels in and around Barcelona.

My Top 3 favorite hotels were:

Hilton Diagonal Mar

This hotel is beautifully furnished and located along the coastal beaches of Barcelona. This hotel is a little further out of the city around 10 minutes in a taxi. But the perfect location if you want the best of both worlds, the Beach is on your doorstep and the city close by. This hotel is also located right next to a shopping mall, perfect for those shopping lovers! One of my favorite features of this hotel is the Michelin Star Restaurant (Aurt Restaurant) within the hotel, the food is absolutely stunning here! This hotel has a wide variety of rooms to stay in ranging from a King Guest Room to a Skyline Suite.

Leonardo Hotel Barcelona Les Rambles

This hotel is located in the bustling areas of Las Ramblas, and it is just a short walk from Barcelona’s most iconic sights including the Picasso Museum, Casa Batllo, The medieval Gothic quarter, La Boqueria food market and La Pedrera. The hotel is also conveniently close to a number of different transport links. One of my favorite features about this hotel is the Rooftop Pool and Sundeck.

Leonardo Hotel Barcelona Gran Via

This hotel is located in La Nova Esquerra de l’eixample, between Placa Espanya and the heart of the city. This is a great budget friendly hotel, perfect base to explore the city. This hotel offers two room types a double or twin comfort and a double superior.

Barcelona is a fantastic city full of culture and amazing food.

My top recommended sights in Barcelona:

  • A walking tour is a great way to see some of Barcelona’s best sights. Sagrada Familia and Barcelona Cathedral are some key highlights worth visiting.
  • La Bouqueria Market is definitely worth a visit, it’s one of the largest food markets in Barcelona. With many different food choices from all sorts of fruits, vegetables, fish, Poultry etc.
  • Barcelona has some amazing beaches to see, which is a perfect way to relax and unwind after exploring the city.
